Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day!! But This Top Was!

Posted on

Once again I thrifted some vintage travel scarves and these two are from Rome. I did the usual stitching across the shoulders and down the sides and in less than 20 minutes I have a new top.

imageimageimageUnfortunately on the one scarf there were two small holes so I used some fusible web and ironed it over the back of the holes and repaired them.

Here is the back of the repairs.

And here is the front. When I wear my new top, which has already had an outing, the holes are no longer obvious. I am very happy with my new vintage souvenir scarf top, and am happy to add it to my collection. Cheers, Michele

I have used fusible web for similar small holes. Good tip!

The scarf tops are great! And, as you say, you’ll never notice the mending when it’s on.
