Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show!! What I Bought!

Posted on Updated on

So here it is finally, what I bought at the Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show.  It seem to take me ages to get around to photographing my new dress, although it only took me seconds to actually do it.

This dress is a beauty.  I love the cut, the colours and the pattern. It is made by a Montreal company called Du-Mode which I actually have a few other pieces by.  It is 100% polyester, that miracle fabric of the 50s and 60s. It cost me $38.00 which is far more than I usually pay for a dress.  But I saw it right at the beginning of the show and my daughter convinced me to put it back.  So I wandered around for over an hour looking at lots of other beautiful things, but this dress was always in the front of my mind.  So at the end of our time at the show I went back and found it again.  I tried it on and it fits perfectly.  I love it so much.  I can’t wait to wear it once the weather gets warmer.  So what do you think of my find?  Cheers, Michele
