Another Refashion Quandry!! Advice Needed For Refashion!

Posted on

I got this beautiful tunic top or beach cover up for only $3.99 at the Bibles for Missions thrift shop on a recent trip.  I know…I know it is not summer yet, but I couldn’t pass it up for the print, colour or price.

I love the colour and the print but I can’t decide what I want to do with it.

I love the covered button details and neckline as well.  It fits just fine, but there are large slits up the side which make wearing it as a dress as is a little risqué.  So what do you think I should do?

  1. Cut off the bottom and make it into a top?
  2. Sew up the side slits and wear it with a slip as a dress?
  3. Chop off the top and refashion the fabric into a different style top?
  4. Make it into a skirt after sewing up the side slits?

Please vote for or give advice for what I should do for this refashion?  I am on the fence on this one.  Cheers, Michele

    How about a tunic length?
    Just to be award.
Does it have slightly flared sleeves? Anyway looks to me like, at a tunic length you could wear it with wide leg or flared white trousers or jeans. At this length you could also keep, but shorten the side slits!

The sleeves are straight. I find tunic lengths look funny on me because I am so tall, I look like I am wearing a too short dress. But I am thinking about trying them again. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers, Michele
