This is a simple recipe…so simple that it is almost criminal. My mom used to serve this to us when the strawberries were especially good. I know it is not strawberry season, but a girl can dream of the warm days of summer. It is a great way to make simple fruit in a more elegant way. I hope you enjoy.
Strawberries Revved Up
2 pounds of fresh strawberries hulls still on well washed
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup of brown sugar
Place the sour cream and brown sugar in separate bowls and place them on a large platter on either end. Place the strawberries between the bowls and serve. Just pick the strawberries up by the stem, dip in the sour cream and dip in the brown sugar.
Eat. The sweet tartness of the sour cream and the brown sugar compliment the strawberries well. Enjoy. Cheers, Michele
