So I wandered into Value Village on Sunday and got a few pieces. They are great but the best part about the trip was my experience at the check out. I was frantically searching for my 30% coupon punch card and a lovely lady came over and gave me an extra one of hers. I recognized her from a previous thrifting trip and she said that on that occasion I had given her one of my extra 30% off coupon cards when we were in the check out line because we had such a nice chat in the store. I thought that was lovely of her to remember and to give me her extra card. Now on to the thrift haul, the prices are before my discount.
First I found this amazing black and white jumpsuit that still had a $99.99 tag on it from the original store. I got it for only $7.99. It is a 4X and is way too big for me, but will be featured in a future refashion post.
The next item I found is a Tilly travel dress in a beautiful red. It is quick wash and hang dry, and is amazing. And it has side pockets, Bonus!! I got it for $8.99.
The next piece is a chunky beautiful green turtle neck sweater. I love the colour and the cosiness of this sweater so it will get a lot of wear this winter. This was a steal at $4.99.
Next I got this gorgeous dress in this black and white animal print which is a size 24 so it will be featured in another refashion post just like the black and white jumpsuit. The dress was only $9.99 which is a real steal considering it is from Talbots and doesn’t look like it has ever been worn.
This beautiful indigo blue and black print blouse was only $6.99.
I also got these faux snakeskin flats with the buckle detail for $9.99. I like the shape, but I think I may refashion these too. I may take the two buckle straps off and put them on another pair of shoes that are plain black to add some detail. I have gotten into the whole idea of refashioning shoes lately, a completely new thing for me. Hope you like the pieces I found. Would love to hear any comments or feedback, Cheers, Michele
