Romper with issues. (Part 2)

Posted on

If you remember the first post about this polka dotted Goucho legged romper, you will remember that I was having second thoughts about the bow detail at the bodice.

So I decided to tackle it by snipping closely to the seam where the ribbon was attached and removing it completely.  I am going to leave the striping of the ribbon in the centre strip of the bodice.

I didn’t know what to do with the extra ribbon pieces so I pondered the problem for a minute before deciding to widen the straps which I am going to stitch down to the top front and back.  This way I will be able to wear a bra with straps instead of an uncomfortable strapless bra.

What do you think of the refashion?  I know I will be much more likely to wear it now.  I love the vintage feel of this piece, and my refashion hasn’t taken that away.  Keep in touch, I love the feedback and comments.

Cheers, Michele

    Hi Michele
Love the look with the bow removed. Great idea with the straps.
